Budgam, Jul 30 (KNO): The Office of Chief Education Officer, Budgam issued a circular on Wednesday, banning unauthorized visits by media personnel, NGOs and private agencies to government schools across the district. The directive strictly prohibits such visits without prior written permission from the Chief Education Officer. According to a circular available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the move comes in response to repeated instances of media persons and NGOs entering schools without official approval, disrupting academic activities and compromising the privacy and discipline of school environments. “It has been observed that certain media persons, NGOs and private agencies are visiting government schools without prior permission from the competent authority. Such visits have led to unnecessary disruption of academic activities and compromise the privacy and discipline of the school environment,” the order reads. Heads of Institutions from Primary to Higher Secondary levels have been instructed to deny entry to any media or private entity attempting to conduct interviews, surveys, photography, or videography without formal sanction. Any such approach must be immediately reported to the CEO’s office. Furthermore, schools requiring legitimate external interaction must obtain prior written approval from the Chief Education Officer. The circular warns that violations will attract serious disciplinary action under official norms—(KNO)
